The Dragon
This title was chosen because this is my first linux blog and dragon was the very first distro that I ever used. A friend at school had shown me some screenshots of linux - I was blown away. I had to find out what this linux was and how to use it. He gave me a copy of dragon - it took a while but I did manage to get it up and running. At that time I had dial up and a winmodem so while I did get it loaded on my pc I could not surf the net with it. That was the beginning of my Linux journey. Right now I want to tell you to listen to Dr. Bill : http://www.thecomputercurmudgeon.com this is a great podcast and you will get tons of Linux information there as well as a lot of other cool stuff. I also make strange music and give it away at http://www.mudballrecords.com. Live OS cd's are my favorite thing to play with right now. Tonight I just tried Mandriva ONE with an awesome 3d desktop - YOU have to see this! Very Cool! Debian Live (would not load) - and GNUStep - nice but it is more for programming - Right now Puppy Linux is my favorite - I will most likely talk about Puppy A Lot on here. Go get it if you don't already have it. I love it.
