Kubuntu 7.04
Testing the Live cd tonight. First the good parts. It looks nice and clean - the fonts have a nice look to them - I have video , sound, and it found my network connection , so I get online right away. What I hate about most of these live cd's is the missing codecs. I tried to go listen to a shoutcast stream so I had some music to browse with, amarok nor kaffeine would play the stream. So I tried again - headed over to Luxuria Music - again neither player would play the stream - it was recognized by kaffeine but it gave me an error about decoding it. Ok, so lets try You Tube --NOPE can't watch YouTube either - so guess what - Can't use this cd. These are all things that have to work - people listen to streamed music and tons of people watch you tube - if these simple things cannot function when you boot the cd then as far as I am concerned it is not more than a coaster.
